Joy in the Pain

I went to a funeral today for one of my band mates grandfather John. I expected a service of mourning, but I was pleasantly surprised by the celebration of this man’s life in Jesus Christ! So amazing to see people finding joy in the pain and holding on to the hope that they will see John again one day in heaven. There was a great message preached and an amazing call to follow God our whole lives. It was all together a great time of worship and remembering John as a man of God!
